title: | The Indiana Club (for women) |
---|---|
image number: | P0028440 |
description: | This image scanned from page 227 of the 1923 Arbutus yearbook. Note that The Indiana Club consisted of men and women, but each gender had their own home. The men's home appears on page 261 of the same yearbook. The home seen here was located on the southwest corner of Indiana and Kirkwood avenues (a sliver of Indiana Avenue can be seen in the lower left-hand corner). The north wall of the Varsity Pharmacy, which is today (2016) Starbucks Coffee, can just be seen at extreme left. The lot on which this home sits was at least owned at one time by W. S. Bradfute and the home was designed by Bloomington architect J. L. Nichols. |
