WFBM in Indianapolis was the first, and WSBT in South Bend was the third. Also, WTTS went on the air on March 11, 1949. It was dedicated at the IU Auditorium on March 25, 1949. Hoagy Carmichael (Class of 1926) participated in the dedication. |
