Abstract
Catherine Ruby Force was an
undergraduate student at Indiana University (A.B. Botany, 1919) from 1915-1919,
during which time she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority and the Botany Club. This
scrapbook documents her time at Indiana University and includes photos of Force's
friends and family, as well as booklets, pamphlets, cards, and other memorabilia
from sorority events and gatherings.

Biographical Note
Catherine Ruby Force was originally from Loogootee, Indiana. Her parents were Seth
and Mollie Force. She graduated from Indiana University in 1919 with an A.B. in
Botany. During her time at IU, she served as the president of the Botany Club and
became a member of the Delta Gamma sorority in 1918. After graduation, she married
Lloyd Lang. Force died in 1973 in Washington, Indiana.

The collection consists of one scrapbook with contents dating from 1915-1920. The
scrapbook documents Catherine Ruby Force's time at Indiana University and includes photos of her
friends and family, as well as booklets, pamphlets, cards, and other memorabilia
from sorority events and gatherings.
