Abstract
The Kathleen d'Azevedo collection spans
the dates 1956-1996. The collection consists of d'Azevedo's research on school-aged
children from various villages in Liberia as well as correspondence and programs.

Arrangement
The collection is organized into four series: correspondence, reference materials, research, and subject files. The
series research is organized into nine sections: youth interviews, field notes, life
histories/stories, essays, drawings, self evaluations, youth interviews on five inch
reels, youth interviews on LP8 tapes and photographs. The series reference material
is organized into four sections: youth information, additional reference materials,
individuals and misc. materials.
Scope and Content Note
The Kathleen d'Azevedo collection spans the dates 1956-1970. The collection
consists of d'Azevedo's research on school-aged children from various villages in
Liberia. The collection includes files on approximately
sixty-six youths and their families that mainly document home life, family
relationships and experiences in their various schools.
