Lucia Evangelista Hines, 1917-2000 was a lyric soprano and opera singer.

The collection is arranged into the following series: I. Photo albums; II. Audio/Visual; III. Miscellaneous.

Scope and Content Note

The Hines mss., 1942-1996 consists of photograph albums, audio and video recordings, and other memorabilia relating to Hines' career. The photograph albums contain material relating to various opera balls in 1970s-1980s, the Marylawn concerts of the 1960s-1970s, career highlights, personal and publicity shots, and Hines's performance in La Traviata. The video recordings include an undated performance of La Traviata, and a television interview from Nov. 26, 1996. An audio cassette contains arias, popular, and inspirational songs. A poster advertising the 11th annual Jerome Hines Marylawn Concert completes the collection.
