Scope and Content Note

The Latin American mss. Dominican Republic, 1765-1803, contains a decree concerning ecclesiastical vacancies by Carlos III, king of Spain; a report concerning the treatment of two criminals; a carta de poder and a petition of a widow, Gabriela Moreno y Sanchez; and a letter from the French general, Francois- Marie Perichou Kerversau, to the governor of Cuba, Salvador de Muro y Salazar, marques de Someruelos.

The correspondents in the collection are Francois-Marie Perichou Kerversau and Gabriela Moreno y Sanchez.
